About me
My greatest passion is helping people lead with confidence and purpose. I teach, coach, and mentor professionals and teams drawing on nearly two decades of experience across the the public and private sectors, including a decade with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). My career has been anything but traditional, spanning various disciplines and environments that now inform my approach to helping others grow.
During my time at the CIA, I served in both the Directorate of Analysis and the Directorate of Operations. I spent nearly half of my Agency career in executive briefing, notably as a President’s Daily Briefer. Whether I was briefing the CIA Director, producing counterterrorism assessments for senior policymakers, or serving as a military liaison officer, my global experiences profoundly shaped my ability to communicate and lead effectively under pressure.
In 2016, I embarked on a new chapter to broaden my professional experience in the private sector and start a family. At Mayo Clinic, I led the Executive Office for two years before establishing the organization’s first security intelligence function and helping design and build its Global Security Operations Center. It was during my time as faculty on a leadership development program that I discovered my greatest passion: developing others.
Today, I channel that passion into two ventures. As Vice President of Savos Training Associates, I teach leadership and professional skills across sectors. I also founded SGN Professional Training to provide personalized coaching to leaders throughout the Midwest. I hold a Master's Degree in the Psychology of Leadership from Penn State along with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Psychology from Washington State, where I competed as a student-athlete.
A Los Angeles native, I have lived and worked on both coasts and now proudly call the upper Midwest home with my husband and our two young children. My journey across cultures has given me genuine appreciation for diverse perspectives and my commitment to community runs deep. I am proud to serve as Chair of the Community Board of Trustees for a non-profit organization in Minnesota, a role that reflects my belief that strong communities, like strong teams, are built through intentional leadership and genuine investment in one another.
