About me
Julie Ruzek, M.Ed, Ed.S. is the Executive Director of the Cradle 2 Career in Rochester, MN. Cradle 2 Career is a community-wide initiative that works to improve educational outcomes for every child and young adult in Rochester by transforming the way partners work together. Julie believes that ALL students can reach their fullest potential when communities keep them and their families at the center. She’s committed to transforming systems by addressing barriers, working together, and elevating students’ stories and lived experiences. She has taught at all levels of education from Early Childhood through Post-Secondary, has been an instructional coach and a district-wide family engagement facilitator. Using her school principal’s license, Julie supervised Rochester Public School’s Family Engagement, Federal Title I programs, Full-Service Community Schools, Native American Education, Equity Specialists, Community Partnerships and the Graduate Induction Program, a partnership with Winona State University. In 2022, Julie accepted the Executive Director position at Cradle 2 Career and is proud to support education from the community partner perspective. Julie lives in Rochester, with her husband, Matt, two amazing kids, Olivia and William, and a golden retriever named Rudy. Education and adventure are a huge part of their family’s fabric. They have a goal of visiting all 50 states and many state and national parks along the way. If they’re not out traveling, you can find the Ruzeks fishing in their boat, cheering for their kids at a sport or performing arts activity or cozying up with friends around a campfire.
