About me
Jackie Blagsvedt, she/her, MLIS, is an education policy and program consultant in the Minnesota Department of Education’s Office of Equity and Engagement in the Public Engagement Division. She is a white, single, working mom of two school-aged children and lives in St. Anthony Village, Minnesota. Jackie grew up in the predominantly white school community of Houston, Minnesota on a small farm settled by Swedish immigrants on the ancestral homeland of the Ho-Chunk Nation. Jackie loves to share and learn transformative ways students, families, communities, and educators are collaborating through the Full-Service Community School (FSCS) strategy to co-create the services, resources, and learning experiences students and families say they need to thrive. Ask her about family and community engagement; attendance and chronic absenteeism; participatory facilitation; continuous improvement; collective impact; implementation science; braiding funding for cohesive programming; labor organizing; knitting; peonies; and transitioning to green energy.
